Please have a listen to the extracts from our new CD using the media player opposite. A Typical Concert For a typical concert, the Songmen undertake a performance in two-halves. The first half is likely to be 16th/17th century sacred music (Byrd, Tallis, Purcell), mixed with one or two folk-songs or motets for around 30-40 minutes. The second half is usually lighter in style, a mixture of barbershop, easy-listening arrangements, even a few pop songs and novelty items lasting around 30-40 minutes, including time for an encore or two.
