Today is Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent, and The Songmen are busy preparing our new programme Iuxta Crucem for Holy Week.

We have all sung regularly in churches and cathedrals in the past, and share a deep appreciation for their musical traditions. It's my view that much of the sublime sacred music was written for Lent, so it's been a privilege to put together this ...
